ABOUT THE SCHOLARSHIP FUND
TWLOHA’s Treatment & Recovery Scholarship exists to help eliminate financial barriers that keep people from accessing mental health care. Please read the following information before applying:
Individuals can apply to receive scholarships for anywhere between one to six months of support toward individual counseling sessions and group therapy, as well as funding to help access higher levels of care.
Scholarship funds can be applied toward a therapist or provider you’ve selected if they meet TWLOHA’s criteria and are licensed, or work within a licensed facility to provide mental health services. If you don’t have a counselor or provider selected, you may still apply and wecan offer assistance in helping you find one.
For those interested in exploring a digital mental health option, we’re excited to share a digital support option through our partnership with Meru Health. (You’ll find additional details below.)

Solace House
Solace House provides free one-on-one therapeutic counseling for people in NY State who:
• Are experiencing suicidal distress
• Have made a suicide attempt
• Engage in self-harm
• Have been bereaved by suicide
Our services are completely free of charge, confidential and all of our therapists are Licensed Social Workers. Services continue to be provided as long as they are needed.
We also offer family support for our client’s loved ones, suicide bereavement group counseling and community awareness workshops.
